Buddha statue in Gyantse Kumbun
Amoghasiddhi Buddha statue in the Kumbun stupa in Gyantse. Amoghasiddhi is one of the Five Wisdom or Dhyani Buddhas of the Vajrayana tradition of Buddhism. He is associated with accomplishing wisdom and promoting peace, with the crossed vajra in his handpalm representing accomplishment and fulfillment in all directions. His consort is Green Tara, representing active compassion. In Tibetan Buddhism many Buddhas form a unity with their female consorts, symbolizing the oneness of all.
